Overview
The Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin, TX is a renowned institution dedicated to showcasing contemporary and traditional Mexican, LatinX, and Latin American art. Founded in 1984, the museum features a diverse collection of paintings, sculptures, photographs, and textiles that represent the rich cultural heritage of these regions. Through its dynamic exhibitions and educational programs, Mexic-Arte Museum serves as a significant cultural center that celebrates the diversity and creativity of Mexican and Latin American communities.
The Mexic-Arte Museum's website underwent a significant renewal, spearheaded by myslef and Noe Perez at TKO Advertising. By prioritizing a modern and contemporary art direction, we were able to create a website that accurately represents the museum's exhibits and programs, providing visitors with an immersive online experience that accurately represents the institution's values and commitment to art.
The result was an improved online presence and user experience for the museum.

For this project, it was crucial to incorporate elements of Latinx culture and Mesoamerican art with contemporary inspiration. To ensure the authenticity of the museum's cultural representation, I dedicated time to research and gather inspiration from Mesoamerican art. By carefully studying and incorporating traditional motifs and styles into the design, we were able to create a website that accurately reflected the rich cultural heritage of the museum.
