Overview
The Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin, TX is dedicated to showcasing contemporary and traditional Mexican, LatinX, and Latin American art. Founded in 1984, the museum features a diverse collection of paintings, sculptures, photographs, and textiles that represent the rich cultural heritage of these regions.
The Mexic-Arte Museum's website underwent a significant renewal, spearheaded by the team at TKO Advertising. By prioritizing a modern and contemporary art direction, we were able to create a website that accurately represents the museum's exhibits and programs, providing visitors with an immersive online experience that accurately represents the institution's values and commitment to art.
The result was an improved online presence and user experience for the museum.
Artistic Influences
In shaping this project, intertwining Latinx cultural nuances and Mesoamerican artistic legacy with modern sensibilities was paramount. I delved deep into research, immersing myself in the world of Mesoamerican art to uphold the museum's culture. This exploration and consideration of age-old motifs and styles empowered us to craft a website that resonates with the museum's cultural roots.
